Find Understanding, Tools, and Hope in Our Specialized Betrayal Support Communities
Whether you’re a betrayed spouse seeking to heal from trauma or working to overcome behaviors that damaged your relationship, our support groups provide the community essential for recovery. Led by coaches who’ve walked this path themselves, our groups offer a safe space to process painful emotions, learn effective recovery tools, and find hope through shared experiences and guided healing.
Our approach is unique because we’ve walked the painful journey ourselves. We combine personal experience with professional expertise to guide you toward healing.
Matt has been doing his own recovery work and leading others since 1992. He is a certified sexual addiction recovery coach (SRC), partners recovery coach (PRC), intimacy anorexia coach (IAC), and trauma specialist.
For almost three decades, Matt has worked with men that have experienced many forms of trauma and is the author of “The Unbound Man – Breaking the Shackles of Trauma and Abuse Experienced by Men.”
Laura is a certified sexual addiction recovery coach (SRC), partners recovery coach (PRC), and intimacy anorexia coach (IAC). She personally understands how living with an addict as well as experiencing infidelity impacts all areas of life.
Her training and personal ability to walk through the healing process as a partner, find profound healing, and then help others do the same makes her uniquely qualified for helping partners in pain.
Accomplish in 3 days what normally takes 4-6 months of session work. Our multi-day intensives create the space for deep healing in a focused environment.
For men who have caused harm through physical, emotional, or pornography infidelity. Held in Tucson, Arizona, these intensives address the root causes and provide tools for lasting recovery.
For couples ready to rebuild after infidelity. These intensives focus on healing both partners, addressing betrayal trauma, and creating a foundation for renewed connection.
For women healing from betrayal trauma. Address intrusive thoughts, anger, self-blame, emotional dysregulation, anxiety, depression, and learn tools for long-term healing.
Recovery is a journey, not an event. Our weekly workgroups provide the ongoing support, accountability, and community essential for lasting change.
These groups are for men striving to gain and maintain recovery from wounding their partners through physical infidelity, emotional infidelity, infidelity through pornography, or intimacy avoidance.
Here are stories from real people who found healing through our programs.
Matt and Laura are compassionate, patient, funny, and full of grace- all the while holding us accountable for the work in recovery. They are a great team and with personal experience in all aspects of their teaching. We are looking forward to their guidance and direction as we continue to lean into recovery.
Our experience as a couple working with Matt and Laura Burton has been nothing short of miraculous. After 41 years of marriage and no idea that IA was a real thing or was what we were struggling with, we were at the end of our marriage with no options in sight. After being referred to Matt just 3 months ago we are in a much better relationship than we ever imagined was possible.
When I discovered that my husband had an addiction to pornography and sexual acting-out the first person that I reached out to was Matt Burton. Matt counselled me and helped me to understand the addiction and the trauma causing this addiction. He also guided me through organizing an intervention with my husband to help him find the resources that he needed to begin his healing process.
The intensive made biggest impact I’ll probably ever have in healing my relationship and myself. The information learned and the tools I gained are already changing the destructive dynamics of our marriage. I believe if we both use the tools and practices presented, our marriage will be transformed.
Our approach is different because we treat betrayal as trauma first, relationship issue second.
