The Devastation of Sexual Affairs
Physical infidelity is one of the most painful experiences a person can have. The pain that is created by this type of betrayal often feels unbearable. For many people, it is one of the most challenging and damaging emotional events in life. To complicate things, the more a person trusted and felt safe with someone, the more powerful and painful it feels when it happens. This pain can be debilitating. Typically, much healing is needed afterward, whether a person chooses to stay in the relationship or not.

There are many psychological and emotional problems that physical infidelity leaves in its wake. Among the most commonly reported consequences of infidelity are:
